Fundamentally we humans all have a few things in common; first on the list is that we all started as noisy, dependent little critters. So in a time when we are beset with reminders of our differences, it is somehow comforting to remember that in the beginning we were pretty much the same, no matter what our surroundings might have been.

So it is that we can especially celebrate Bill Beck's latest coup for the BCDCC/Women's Club fundraiser movie, Babies. The trailer is only a couple of minutes long and it might make you feel a little better about how your day is going. Babies will be at the Malco Towne Cinema, tentatively April 20.

Vivian Michaels,Vice Chair of the Benton County Democratic Central Committee, checks the list of Benton County Public High Schools. Michaels is delivering application packets for the 2010 Democratic Scholarship, to be awarded next spring.

The application requires an essay, a grade report, and a personal activities inventory. Depending on each High School's schedule, the applications are due in March.
